O atleta Alison dos Santos conquistou, na tarde desta sexta-feira (9), a medalha de bronze nos 400 metros com barreiras, pelos Jogos Olímpicos de Paris. O brasileiro finalizou a prova com o tempo de 47s26.
Esta é a segunda medalha olímpica do Piu. O corredor já havia conquistado o bronze nas Olimpíadas anteriores, em Tóquio, também nos 400 metros com barreiras.
Alison estava na raia de número 3 e conquistou o pódio após acelerar e se destacar depois da última barreira, na reta final da corrida.
O ouro ficou com o estadunidense Benjamin Rai, que completou a prova em 46s46, enquanto o norueguês Karsten Warholm, com o tempo de 47s06, ganhou a medalha de prata.
